The 3 fellowships of 1.000 euros each will be distributed at the WCO-IOF-ESCEO Annual Meeting.
Be the first or presenting author of the abstract submitted to the WCO-IOF-ESCEO 2017 Congress.
- Prove less than 15 years since the completion of the highest degree
- The above eligibility criteria include students or trainees who have not yet obtained their doctoral degree.

The WCO-IOF-ESCEO 2017 is very proud to announce that the ESCEO-Health Care Provider Scholarships will be supported by Eli Lilly.
Value
The value of these scholarship will be :
- Free registration to the WCO-IOF-ESCEO Congress 2017 in Florence
- 1000 USD (if the applicant did not submit any abstract to the WCO2017 Congress)
- 1500 USD (if the applicant submitted an abstract as first author, senior author or co-author to the WCO2017 Congress)
Free registration (value 975 euros) will be granted to applicants ranked between 100 and 999.

Recipients will attend the WCO-IOF-ESCEO 2017 Congress in Florence on March 23-26, 2017
Recipients are physicians with a special interest (trained or training) in the metabolic bone diseases and/or musculoskeletal disorders

5) IOF President's Awards
The International Osteoporosis Foundation (IOF) President's Awards honour IOF members from different regions of the world who have made a significant and unstinting contribution to the advancement of the work of the IOF, through furthering one or more of the mission statements and/or goals of the Foundation. Recipients are selected by the IOF President, with the approval of the IOF Executive Committee.
6) IOF Medal of Achievement
The International Osteoporosis Foundation (IOF) Medal of Achievement honours individual researchers who have significantly advanced the field of osteoporosis through their original and outstanding scientific contributions. The award underlines important aspects of IOF's mission - to increase understanding and awareness of osteoporosis and to promote medical innovation. The IOF Medal of Achievement, which includes CHF 1500 in prize money, is presented every year during the WCO-IOF-ESCEO congress. Candidates are nominated by members of IOF's Committee of Scientific Advisors (CSA) and the winner selected by the Chair of the CSA with the approval of the IOF Executive Committee.

The International Osteoporosis Foundation (IOF) Olof Johnell Science Award, named in honour of the late Professor Olof Johnell is awarded every year during the WCO-IOF-ESCEO congress. The Award honours an individual who has contributed to the field of osteoporosis in a scientific or policy implementation area, worldwide. The award winner also receives CHF 1500 in prize money. The candidates will be nominated by IOF members and the winner chosen by the IOF Board.
8) IOF Committee of National Societies Award
The International Osteoporosis Foundation (IOF) Committee of National Societies Medal honours an individual who has made an important contribution to IOFs Committee of National Societies (CNS) through active participation in CNS activities and by expanding IOF's message and outreach in his/her country. An IOF Committee selects the winner, with the approval of the IOF Executive Committee.
9) ESCEO-IOF Pierre Meunier Young Scientist Award
The « IOF-ESCEO Pierre Meunier Young Scientist Award » is intended to reward the work of a young researcher, who has already demonstrated his/her scientific merits without having yet reached a prominent academic position.
Numerous awards are dedicated to young promising scientists and other honor the "Masters and Mentors" for their overall work. Nevertheless, there is in between a gap, in the recognition of those who represent the next generation of leaders.
10) 2017 ESCEO Medal of Excellence
The « ESCEO Medal of Excellence » is a prize intended to honor and reward an outstanding contribution to the field of bone, joint and muscle from an established researcher.
11) ESCEO-IOF Herbert Fleisch Medal
The « ESCEO-IOF Herbert Fleisch Medal » is intended to reward a researcher who has made outstanding and innovative contribution in basic or translational science. The award is named in honor of Herbert Fleisch, a renowned researcher whose pioneering work has greatly influenced the understanding of bone and mineral metabolism.
